Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Central Harlem, Morningside Hieghts and Hamilton Heights:

Apartment Rentals. NYC, NY.
In 1658, Governor Peter Stuyvesant established Harlem, naming it Nieuw Harlem after the Dutch city of Harlem. Early in the 1900s, Harlem was inhabited mostly by Jewish-Americans. From 1920 until about 1930, Harlem was the center of the Harlem Renaissance, a cultural movement that changed Harlem into an African-American enclave as blacks fled the racism found in the other parts of the city. The arts and black pride flourished in this dynamic neighborhood until the Great Depression put an end to the Jazz Age. Harlem went into decay, and hit bottom in the fiscal crises of the 1970s. Today, Harlem is on the upswing: President Bill Clinton chose this neighborhood for his retirement offices, and business has followed.

Hudson Heights & Washington Heights:

Apartment Rentals
Across the Hudson River you'll see the Palisades, created eons ago by a shift in the fault line. One of the best names in all of New York is the Spuyten Duyvil Creek (pronounced Spite-ten Die-vil), links the Harlem and Hudson Rivers. The geography is breathtaking; the cheap rents will also take your breath away. The western section of Washington Heights, called Hudson Heights, has the most desirable apartments, many with river views, although the best buildings are co-ops.

Inwood:
The Cloisters, a gift to the city from John D. Rockefeller, Jr, sits on the high ground as a silent sentry watching over Inwood, Manhattan's northernmost neighborhood. Inwood Hill Park has six miles of footpaths through woods which bring you closer to nature than any place in Vermont.

navitimes serves the housing needs of every New Yorker, from students just starting out to corporate executives seeking to invest or live in their New York apartments as full-time homes or pied a terres. Locating and securing those special apartments for the sharpest clients is our specialty. With Navi Times working for you, you'll have attention you require and deserve. The attention only a young vibrant company can offer.

This is a newly renovated, large, sun-filled apartment on the top floor of a well-maintained pre-war coop building. The apartment has two big bedrooms and a loft-like open living/dining area (total 1300 sq ft), with 10 windows from which you can enjoy views of the Hudson river, the surrounding roofs and both sunrise and sunset. The open kitchen is perfect for entertaining. The bathroom has two sinks, a hanging toilet, and a large tub (all appliances designed by Philippe Starck). The apartment is fully furnished.

Residents in our coop are mostly professionals, artists, and musicians. The building is meticulously well kept by a dedicated superintendent and his staff. Everybody is very friendly, which is pretty rare in Manhattan! The building is conveniently located two blocks from the A Express train to downtown Manhattan.

The Hudson Heights neighborhood is like a village within Manhattan: quaint little shops, cafes, restaurants, people who greet each other on the streets, great parks, beautiful views (it's the highest natural point of Manhattan!), all this a 20 minute subway ride away from Times Square. It's the perfect combination of everything New York has to offer and the peace and quiet you need to recharge your batteries.
